P-DUKE has announced the new TBF500 AC/DC power supply series in a fully encapsulated full-brick package with up to 93% efficiency. For high operating temperature applications, the module can be mounted on the system chassis to dissipate its heat or equipped with the optional heatsink.
TBF500 series has a universal input voltage range of 85-264Vac. The output voltages are 12, 15, 24, 28, 48, and 54VDC and are adjustable by external resistors in the range of +10%/ -10%, The use of the remote sense pins compensate the voltage drop over the PCB tracks for an accurate working voltage at the point of load. The full protection functions include over-current protection (hiccup mode), short-circuit protection (automatic recovery), and output over-voltage protection (latch-off).
To simplify the design and to save space on the PCB the TBF500 power supply module needs only a few external components to comply with the EMC standard EN/IEC 50032, Class B, inrush current limiter function, and OVC III (over-voltage category). Additionally, the optional current share function, a maximum of 3 modules, can be connected in parallel to increase the output power. The board mount type with only 12.7 mm height makes this power supply ideal to install in systems with limited space. The form factor and baseplate cooling are seen as a countermeasure to heat generation, allowing this AC/DC power supply to handle rugged applications in demanding environments.
TBF500 series allows a baseplate operating temperature of -40 to +105℃. It is designed for challenging operating conditions and provides high reliability to a variety of equipment such as 5G communication, ESS, defense, robotics, and factory automation.
