Every year, on the last Saturday of March, SUNON and people from over 190 countries, regions, and cities come together to switch off lights for one hour to draw attention to the environment. Since the increasing awareness of global climate changes, switching off our lights, measuring the reduction in the amount of energy used, practicing low-carbon lifestyles, using renewable energies, and taking more green actions are demonstrating that it is possible to make a difference, and our responsibility to do so.
By 2022, 192 countries and more than 18,000 city and towns and thousands of famous landmarks have turned off their lights, taking action for the cause. This year on March 25th, SUNON staff and their family members in Kaohsiung headquarters, overseas branches, offices, and production bases will be ‘Lights Out’ that night from 20:30 pm to 21:30 pm, switching off all non-essential lights, in support of the initiative. Please get ready to join us and with the millions of other people around the world who are fighting to save our planet and homes.
